Education & Experience

I am currently in my 10th year of teaching students that primarily struggle with learning to read and write.  I began my career as a reading specialist, in which I was trained to use research-based intervention programs with students in grades K through 5.

Three years later, I switched to the online teaching environment as a 5th grade special education cyber schoolteacher.  I do believe that it was the path I was meant to take.  I am blessed to say that I have found my passion doing this work.  Not only have I gained more experience teaching students of various learning needs and special circumstances, but I have also been given the opportunity to create meaningful and engaging lessons delivered virtually and effectively.

I am blessed to have found so much joy in teaching students to read and write.  Reading and writing have both always been therapeutic to me, so it is rewarding to be able to help my students find the tools they need to enjoy those outlets as well.
